Christianity in Guizhou
Christianity is a minority religion in Guizhou, a province in China. The Gha-Mu and A-Hmao ethnic groups have more Christians than others. The province is home to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Guiyang and the Diocese of Nanlong. Sam Pollard, a China Inland Mission missionary, worked among the A-Hmao. After 1949, Guizhou had about 40,000 Protestants; today the Protestant population is around 500,000. Christians in Guizhou sometimes face persecution.
