Rhodoferax antarcticus
Rhodoferax antarcticus is a cold-loving, phototrophic bacterium that does not use sulfur compounds. It is highly motile and belongs to the genus Rhodoferax. It was isolated from an Antarctic microbial mat on Ross Island.
