Chaux-la-Lotière

Chaux-la-Lotière is a small commune in eastern France, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, Haute-Saône department. It belongs to the Vesoul arrondissement and the Rioz canton. The town covers 18.88 square kilometers and sits at elevations between 220 and 338 meters. As of 2023, about 536 people live there, with a density of around 60 inhabitants per square kilometer. The mayor from 2020 to 2026 is Alexandre Ormaux. The INSEE code is 70145 and the postal code is 70190. The archaeologist Roland Martin (1912–1997) was born in Chaux-la-Lotière.
