Caroline Lind
Caroline Lind is an American rower and two-time Olympic gold medalist. She was born on October 11, 1982, in Greensboro, North Carolina, and is 6 feet tall and about 175 pounds.
Lind competes in the women’s eight (W8+). She won Olympic gold with the United States in 2008 in Beijing and again in 2012 in London. She has also won World Championship gold medals in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2014.
In 2014, Lind and her 2008 Olympic W8+ teammates were inducted into the US Rowing Hall of Fame. That year she was also named Athlete of the Year by the New York Athletic Club, and she finished 2014 ranked as the top female rower by the International Rowing Federation (FISA).
Education and early life: Lind graduated from Phillips Academy in 2002. She then attended Princeton University, earning an AB in anthropology in 2006. Her senior thesis was “Flow in Rowing.” She received Princeton’s C. Otto von Kienbusch Sportswoman of the Year Award and the Carol P. Brown Senior Woman Award. Lind later earned an MBA with an accounting concentration from Rider University, graduating in December 2010.
