Daniel Joseph Thomas (born 12 November 1961 in Worksop, England) is a former English footballer who played for Coventry City and Tottenham Hotspur, and who represented England at senior level. He made 98 appearances for Coventry and scored 4 goals from 1979 to 1983, before moving to Tottenham Hotspur in June 1983 for £250,000. He played 87 league games for Tottenham, scoring once, and helped the club win the UEFA Cup in 1983-84, even though he missed a penalty in the shootout in the final against Anderlecht. His Tottenham league debut came on 27 August 1983 against Ipswich Town.

A knee injury suffered in 1987 led to his retirement in 1988. Internationally, he was capped twice by England in 1983 during a tour of Australia, having also represented England at youth levels.

After football, he trained as a physiotherapist and earned a master's degree with help from the Professional Footballers' Association. He worked briefly as a physio with West Bromwich Albion, then ran his own physiotherapy practice in Coventry and later worked in Florida.
