Takhini is a territorial electoral district in Yukon, represented in the Yukon Legislative Assembly since 2011. It was created in 2009 mainly from the former McIntyre-Takhini district and was originally called Takhini-Kopper King. In 2024, boundary changes led to it being renamed Takhini for the 2025 election. The district has been represented by Kate White, leader of the Yukon New Democratic Party, since 2011. For the 2025 election, Takhini includes parts of Whitehorse such as the Takhini and Raven’s Ridge subdivisions, Kopper King, Northland mobile home parks, and residences along Fish Lake Road. Yukon University and the Whitehorse Correctional Centre are located in the district, but inmates vote in their home riding. There were 2,128 electors in 2021. The district’s first contest was in 2011, and the last contest noted is 2025.
