Cairo Lima
Cairo Roberto da Lima, born on 16 September 1976 in Uberlândia, Brazil, is a former football player and current coach. Known as Cairo Lima, he could play as a defender or midfielder and had his greatest success with Atlético Mineiro. He also played for Paraná, Avaí, Ceará, Botafogo (SP), Paulista, Metropolitano, Gaz Metan Mediaş in Romania, Uberlândia, and Atlético de Ibirama.
After retiring, he moved into coaching. He worked as an assistant coach for Volta Redonda and Atlético Paranaense and led their under-23 teams. In 2013 he managed Volta Redonda and guided them to the semi-finals of the Taça Rio, a notable achievement. He later returned to coach Volta Redonda again in 2017.
