Brit Awards 2004 was the 24th edition of the UK's annual pop music awards, run by the British Phonographic Industry. It took place on 17 February 2004 at Earls Court in London. Cat Deeley hosted the show. The Darkness won the most awards, taking home three trophies, and they also had the most nominations with four. They won the first BRIT Award for British Rock Act. The show was broadcast on ITV and attracted about 6.18 million viewers. Nominations were announced on 12 January 2004.
