Stuttgarter Nachrichten
Stuttgarter Nachrichten (Stuttgart News) is a newspaper published in Stuttgart-Möhringen, Germany. It is sold together with the Stuttgarter Zeitung, from the same publishing house. In 2013, the two papers, along with Nordstuttgarter Rundschau and Fellbacher Zeitung, had a total circulation of about 217,000 copies.
Christoph Reisinger has been editor-in-chief since April 2011. The paper was first published on 12 November 1946 under a license from the American military government, and it appeared three times a week at the start. Early editors included Henry Bernhard, Otto Färber, and Erwin Schoettle, while Chrysostomus Zodel later served as editor-in-chief for a long period.
Stuttgarter Nachrichten has three local editions. It also provides content for partner newspapers. Non-local portions are used by papers such as Backnanger Kreiszeitung, Gäubote, Heidenheimer Neue Presse, Mühlacker Tagblatt, Murrhardter Zeitung, Nürtinger Zeitung/Wendlinger Zeitung, Rems-Zeitung, Sindelfinger Zeitung/Böblinger Zeitung, Kreiszeitung Böblinger Bote, Vaihinger Kreiszeitung, Waiblinger Kreiszeitung/Schorndorfer Nachrichten/Welzheimer Zeitung/Winnender Zeitung, and there is a content partnership with Schwarzwälder Bote.
Most articles from the print edition are available for free at stuttgarter-nachrichten.de, and there is content shared with the Stuttgarter Zeitung that is exclusive to the two websites.
