Bhangra Paa Le is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama directed by Sneha Taurani and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. It stars Sunny Kaushal and Rukshar Dhillon. The film blends dance, romance and ambition across two generations, with Amritsar as its main setting and London for the big competition.

In the past, Kaptaan, the grandfather of the hero Jaggi Singh, is a former army soldier who loves Bhangra. After losing a leg in battle, he still dances to win Nimmo’s love. He goes to Nimmo’s wedding and, with a one‑legged dance, earns her family’s blessing to marry. His perseverance becomes Jaggi’s inspiration years later.

In the present, Jaggi Singh from Khalsa College dreams of making Bhangra famous around the world. He meets Simi Kohli from rival GNDU at a wedding and they soon fall for each other, only to discover their teams are rivals in an international Bhangra competition. The two teams reach the finals in London, and Jaggi’s romance with Simi adds tension to the rivalry. After a damaging clash, Jaggi injures his leg but keeps dancing with Simi cheering him on. Jaggi’s village group, Pendu Club, crowdfunding to travel to London and compete. Both teams make it to the finals, where Jaggi’s leg falters again. Simi steps in with a drum, and Jaggi performs the beloved jhoomar with renewed energy. Pendu Club wins the competition, and Jaggi and Simi finally come together as a couple.

The film’s music is by JAM8, Rishi Rich, Yash Narvekar and A Bazz, among others. The title song Bhangra Paa Le is a remake of Bhangra Paale from the film Karan Arjun.

Bhangra Paa Le was initially scheduled for 2019 release but finally released in India on 3 January 2020, with Netflix streaming on 1 March 2020. It had a modest box office showing and received mixed reviews, with some critics noting it as an energetic but uneven dance drama.
