Barokologadi ba Ga Maotwe are a Tswana tribe living in the North-West Province of South Africa. They split from the Bapedi people and found refuge with Bakgatla Ba Kgafela. They first lived at Lengwana Village, then moved to Mankgopi near Ramotswa in Botswana. After leaving Mankgopi, they settled at Melorane, which is now part of the Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa. In 1950 they were forced to move from Melorane to Misgund, with some going to De Brak. In 1958 they left Misgund for Pitsedisulejang, now the main village of Barokologadi, while others stayed at De Brak, Maretlwana, Sesobe, Nkaipaa, Ramotlhajwe, Ramokgolela, Magong and Obakeng. The current chief is Kgosi Thari Maotoe.
