The Dutch Orienteering Federation (NOLB) is the Netherlands’ national body for the sport of orienteering. Orienteering is a sport where you use a map and a compass to find checkpoints in different terrains as fast as you can. NOLB is recognized by the International Orienteering Federation as the Netherlands’ official federation. The Dutch name is Nederlandse OriënteringsLoop Bond (NOLB). It was founded on 12 December 1982 and began as a club; about ten years later it reorganized into a federation. As of December 2018, NOLB has about 430 members across five clubs.
