Bakhvain Buyadaa, born 20 May 1946, is a retired Mongolian judoka. He competed in the 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games in the men's 63 kg category. In 1972 he originally won silver but was disqualified after testing positive for the steroid Dianabol, becoming the first Olympic judo competitor to fail a drug test. He came to the Games with a freestyle wrestling background and limited judo experience, yet he won his first two bouts and almost beat world champion Takao Kawaguchi. Kawaguchi broke two ribs escaping Buyadaa’s ground pin but won by a close decision. In the repechage Buyadaa defeated Jean-Jacques Mounier, then lost the final to Kawaguchi. In 1976 he finished tenth.
