MokkoStudio
Mokko Studio was a Canadian visual effects and animation company based in Montreal, Quebec. It operated from 2003 to 2017 and worked mainly on film, television, and commercials. The studio employed about 70 artists and was co-founded by Danny Bergeron (who led the company) and Alain Lachance (who handled the creative side).
Mokko began by contributing to video games and TV shows, including The Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring, Mars Rising, and Clash of the Dinosaurs. The team then moved into film, creating effects for Silent Hill and X‑Men Origins: Wolverine, and later worked on Riddick and Underworld: Awakening.
In 2012, Mokko received a $200,000 investment to help grow. In 2013, StudioDaily.com highlighted their work on Riddick, where they designed lifelike jackals and mud demons. The studio closed in 2017.
