Auld Aisle Cemetery

Auld Aisle Cemetery is in Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. It sits on the site of St Ninian’s Church, a very old parish church. St Ninian’s was abandoned around 1659 after the old parish of Lenzie was split into Cumbernauld and Kirkintilloch. The cemetery has graves dating back to the 1700s. It is a Category A listed site designated on 14 May 1971. The watchtower was built in the early 1700s, and a gate lodge was added when the cemetery was enlarged in 1863. There are 38 Commonwealth war graves here: 17 from World War I and 21 from World War II.
