Athipattu railway station

Athipattu railway station is on the North line of the Chennai Suburban Railway, part of the Chennai Central–Gummidipoondi section. It serves Athipattu, a suburb of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and is about 22 km north of Chennai Central station. The station has four tracks and is on the ground. It is owned by Indian Railways (Ministry of Railways) and falls under the Southern Railway zone. The station code is AIP. Electrification of the lines at Athipattu occurred on 13 April 1979, when the Chennai Central–Gummidipoondi section was electrified. Parking is available, and the station is active.
