Anthony Dwyer
Anthony Dwyer, born 1 January 1970, is a former Australian rules footballer who played for North Melbourne in the AFL during the 1990s. He came from Westmeadows and joined his brother David at North Melbourne in 1990, playing two games at the end of the season. He and his brother were the third generation of their family to play in the VFL/AFL, after grandfather Leo and father Laurie. After not playing a senior game in 1991, Dwyer appeared 16 times in 1992 and kicked 21 goals. He found it hard to break into the team over the next few seasons, but in 1995 he played in two AFL finals matches and helped North Melbourne win the reserves premiership. Across his career with North Melbourne, he played 30 games and kicked 27 goals from 1990 to 1996.
