Ann Banfield
Ann Banfield is Professor Emeritus of English at the University of California, Berkeley. She has taught at Berkeley since 1975. Banfield works in linguistics, critical theory, and using philosophy as a key part of modernism. In narratology, she is known for ideas like narratorless subjectivity and addresseelessness in narration.
