The Revolt of Salar-al-Daulah was a rebellion against the Persian government in the 1910s. It began in 1911 and was led by Salar-al-Daulah, the brother of former shah Mohammad Ali Shah Qajar. By 17 July he had taken control of Senneh. He tried to move on Tehran from Kermanshah, but he was defeated. After a new Persian cabinet was formed on 26 July 1911, the government sent Bakhtiari troops to western Persia to stop him. The Bakhtiari campaign involved widespread looting. The revolt was finally put down in 1913.
