Marivita hallyeonensis

Marivita hallyeonensis is a type of bacteria found in seawater near Geoje-do, Korea. It is Gram-negative, aerobic (needs oxygen), rod-shaped, does not form spores, and cannot move. It belongs to the genus Marivita in the Roseobacteraceae family. The species was described in 2012 by Yoon and colleagues. The main strains used to identify it are CCUG 60522, KCTC 23421, and DPG-28.
