Takasindu
Taksindu is a ward in Solukhumbu District, Province No. 1, in north-eastern Nepal. It sits at about 3,130 meters above sea level and includes several villages: Chhulemu, Hewa, Deku, Nunthala, Akang, Ringbu, and Changa. In the 2011 census, about 2,177 people lived in 510 households. The community includes Sherpa, Rai, and Tamang people who speak Sherpa, Rai, Tamang, and Nepali. The main local activities are tourism, animal husbandry, and farming. Chongba Sherpa was elected ward head in May 2022.
