Andy Dunlop is a Scottish musician and the lead guitarist of the indie band Travis. He was born Andrew Dunlop on 16 March 1972 in Lenzie, Dunbartonshire, Scotland, and he studied at Lenzie Academy. He has been making music since 1990 with Travis, who became famous after the album The Man Who, a big hit in the UK in 1999.

Dunlop not only plays guitar but also writes songs and sometimes sings. He sang lead on You Don't Know What I'm Like and Ancient Train, and contributed on Central Station and The Sea (with Fran Healy on lead). On the album Ode to J. Smith, he co-wrote Quite Free with Healy and Dougie Payne. On The Boy with No Name he co-wrote 3 Times and You Lose and Big Chair.

He wrote Boxes, The Big Screen and Parallel Lines for the album Where You Stand. He also worked with Magne Furuholmen on his solo album Past Perfect Future Tense, with help from Guy Berryman and Will Champion of Coldplay.

Dunlop is known for his long fingernails on his right hand, which he uses instead of guitar picks, similar to a flamenco guitarist. He is married to Jo Monaghan, and they had a son, Dylan Green Dunlop, in December 2005.
