Italy at the 1936 Winter Olympics
Italy at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Italy sent 40 competitors (35 men and 5 women) who competed in 7 sports. The flag bearer was Adriano Guarnieri. Italy did not win any medals. Some cross-country results were shared with the Nordic combined event, and some athletes competed in both, using the same 18 km time for both. The normal-hill ski jumping event was held separately from the main ski jumping competition.
