Andreas Stenschke, born July 26, 1975 in Cologne, Germany, is an actor, director and writer. He grew up in the suburbs of Cologne, finished high school in 1995, and later earned a degree in television series production and directing from Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2006. As a teen he won filmmaking prizes and sent video reports from the 1996 Atlanta Olympics to WDR. After national service at a nursing home, he was discovered at WDR in 1997 and joined the soap Verbotene Liebe as Ulrich Prozeski, appearing in 342 episodes over about three and a half years.

After leaving Verbotene Liebe, he pursued acting and studied at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. He joined the TV show Die Anrheiner as Ben Merker and stayed until 2008, playing in 133 episodes. He began directing work, first as an assistant director on Der perfekte Urlaub, then as an AD on Pastewka. His first directing job was Staatsanwalt Posch ermittelt (2007) on RTL, followed by Unter Volldampf! on VOX, where he directed 115 episodes. From 2009 to 2011 he prepared to direct Alles was zählt on RTL. He also acted in the independent film Das Plüschtier (The Cuddly Toy) in 2009. Stenschke has supported artists’ rights activities in Europe, including the Writers Guild strike.
