Leonardo Jardim is a Portuguese football manager born on 1 August 1974. He was born in Barcelona, Venezuela, to Portuguese parents who moved to Madeira, Portugal, when he was young.

He started coaching in Madeira, first as an assistant at Camacha, then becoming head coach there. He led Chaves to promotion to the Segunda Liga in 2008-09 and Beira-Mar to promotion to the Primeira Liga in 2009-10. After spells with Braga, Olympiacos and Sporting CP, Jardim moved to Monaco in 2014.

At Monaco, he steered the team to third place in Ligue 1 in his first season and again in 2015-16. In 2016-17 he won Monaco’s first Ligue 1 title in 17 years and guided them to the Champions League semi-finals. He was sacked in October 2018, reappointed in January 2019, and dismissed again in December 2019.

Jardim later managed in the Middle East and Qatar. He led Shabab Al Ahli to the UAE Pro League title and won the AFC Champions League with Al Hilal, leaving the club by mutual consent after securing the domestic league as well. He then coached Al-Rayyan and Al Ain, and in February 2025 took charge of Cruzeiro in Brazil, helping them to third place in the league. In December 2025, Jardim left Cruzeiro, saying he did not plan to take another coaching job for now.
