Anar is the debut solo album by Czech singer-songwriter Markéta Irglová. It was released in the United States on October 11, 2011, on ANTI-. Recorded at Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the indie folk record runs 49 minutes and 17 seconds. The songs are in English, and all tracks are written by Irglová except where noted. The album's title comes from the Persian word anâr, meaning "pomegranate", and it includes the traditional Persian song "Dokhtar Ghoochani".
