Emirates Investment Authority
Emirates Investment Authority (EIA) is the United Arab Emirates’ federal sovereign wealth fund. It was formed in 2007 and is based in Abu Dhabi. The EIA aims to strengthen and diversify the UAE economy by investing in a range of assets locally, regionally, and internationally.
The EIA has taken notable holdings in telecoms, including Etisalat and du, and has also invested in Gulf International Bank (Bahrain), United Arab Shipping Company, and Gulf Investment Corporation. In total, it owns more than 30 stakes in companies across the Gulf region.
The board is led by Chairman Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with Deputy Chairman Mohamed Hadi Al Hussaini and CEO Mohamed Hamad Al Mehairi. More information is available at eia.gov.ae.
