Altin Zeqiri
Altin Zeqiri is a Kosovan footballer who plays as a winger for Çaykur Rizespor in Turkey’s Süper Lig. He was born on July 18, 2000, in Espoo, Finland, and is 1.85 meters tall. Zeqiri started his football journey with youth teams EBK, FC Honka, and FC Espoo before beginning his senior career with Espoo in 2017.
In 2019 he joined Lahti in Finland, where he played until 2023 and extended his contract in 2021. He made his Lahti debut in a 4-0 loss to HJK after coming on as a late substitute. In August 2023, Zeqiri signed a three-year deal with Çaykur Rizespor, with an option for another year, and wearing number 77. He made his Süper Lig debut on August 13, 2023, starting the match against Adana Demirspor. He scored his first league goal on October 21, 2023, in a 3-1 defeat to Kayserispor.
Internationally, Zeqiri has represented Kosovo at the U21 level, making his debut in March 2021 in a match against Qatar U23. He received his first senior Kosovo call-up in August 2023 for Euro 2024 qualifying matches and scored on his senior debut on October 12, 2023, in a 3-0 win away to Andorra.
Personal life: Zeqiri is a devout Muslim who observes fasting during Ramadan.
