Rajeem
Rajeem is a British Thoroughbred mare, foaled on 27 February 2003. Bred in Wales by Usk Valley Stud, she was by Diktat out of Magic Sister. Owned by Saeed Manana and trained by Clive Brittain at Newmarket, she began racing as a two-year-old with little immediate promise but won her last two races, including the Listed Montrose Stakes.
As a three-year-old she failed to win in her first four starts, then surprised everyone by winning the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket at 50/1, defeating a strong field. After this victory, injuries prevented further racing and she did not race again, being retired in 2007.
Rajeem went on to be a broodmare for Darley Stud, but has had limited impact as a dam of winners, producing at least six foals and one winner by 2016. She was offered for sale at Keeneland in 2012 but did not reach her reserve price, and in 2015 she was bought for €26,000 at the Goffs sale by Tinnakill Bloodstock.
