Altella

Altella is a genus of spiders in the family Argyronetidae. They are cribellate araneomorph spiders, meaning they have a special silk-producing organ called a cribellum. The genus was first described by Eugène Simon in 1884. The type species is Altella lucida. As of 2025, eleven species are recognized in this genus. A synonym previously used for Altella is Altellela Miller, 1949.
