Alberto T. Nogar Sr. (May 23, 1934 – February 15, 2013) was a Filipino weightlifter who competed at the highest levels in the 1950s and 1960s. Born in Zamboanga City, Mindanao, he was the fifth of twelve children. His father served with the US Rangers in World War II. Nogar studied at Far Eastern University in Manila, where he excelled in sports and began a notable weightlifting career.

Competing in the 56 kg (bantamweight) category, Nogar won a bronze medal for the Philippines at the 1958 Asian Games in Tokyo. He represented the country at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, finishing eighth in the 56 kg event. He also took part in the 1958 World Championships in Stockholm (finishing fifth), the 1961 World Championships in Vienna, and the 1962 Asian Games in Jakarta.

Coached by Elpidio S. Dorotheo and competing for FEU, Nogar helped raise the profile of Philippine weightlifting. He passed away from natural causes at the Philippine Heart Center in Manila at age 78. He was survived by his wife of 50 years, Fely, and five children: John, Alberto Jr., Hennie, Marcel, and Ulla.
