Hossein Sabet
Hossein Sabet Baktash (born 1934 in Mashhad) is an Iranian businessman and Persian carpet dealer who lives in Berlin. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering. In 1970 he founded Stella Canarias, a hotel complex in Jandia, Fuerteventura. The hotel was sold in 2000 to the Spanish group Dunas, and after Dunas went bankrupt Sabet took over management in 2010. The hotel closed from 2013 to 2016 due to unpaid bills. In 1981 he bought the Berlin newspaper Der Abend. He was also the architect and owner of the Dariush Grand Hotel project on Kish Island, which included plans for a Dolphin Park and Birds Garden; he sold the project in 2014 to Seyed Abdoulreza Mousavi.
