Venus nux

Venus nux is a species of saltwater clam in the venus clams family (Veneridae). It is a marine bivalve that grows to about 30–45 mm. The shell is globular with dense, concentric ribs. Venus nux is common in the Mediterranean Sea and along the Atlantic coasts of Portugal and Spain. Scientific name: Venus nux (Gmelin, 1791).
