Italo Acconcia
Italo Acconcia (20 April 1925 – 12 February 1983) was an Italian footballer and manager who played as a midfielder. Born in Castelvecchio Subequo, he spent much of his career in Italy’s Serie A with clubs including L'Aquila, Catanzaro, Fiorentina, Udinese (on loan), Roma, Genoa, Modena, Salernitana, Pistoiese, Sangiovannese, and Empoli. Notably, he made 78 appearances for Fiorentina and 99 for Sangiovannese. After retiring as a player, Acconcia managed Pistoiese in 1962 and, in 1981, coached Italy’s under-21 team at the FIFA World Youth Championship. He passed away in Florence in 1983 at the age of 57.
