Air sports at the 2025 World Games – Qualification

Qualifying for air sports is mainly based on FIA rankings. Athletes are qualified by name (nominal qualification) with approval from their National Airsport Control (NAC). The process follows The World Games rules, the Olympic Charter, and TWG Qualification System Principles to ensure fair selection and representation from at least three continents. FIA aims to balance high world rankings with participation from as many member nations as possible, using only FIA-sanctioned events for qualification. Athletes must hold a valid FIA Sporting License for Aeromodelling and Spacemodelling.

Ranking lists for men and women will be based on results from the 2024 World Drone Racing Championship in Hangzhou (or the 2023 WDRC in Namwon if 2024 was not held) and from the 2024 Drone Racing World Cup events. For ranking purposes, only one event per organizing country will be counted (the higher score if two events are held). A competitor’s total score is the sum of their best three results, including any WDRC result if applicable. In case of a tie, World Cup rankings determine the order, followed by the best single-event result if needed.

Qualification schedule is below. The tables reflect official entry lists. Ranking figures are based on the reference rankings of 17 November 2024.
