Aeolanthes dicraea
Aeolanthes dicraea is a moth of the Depressariidae family. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1908 and is found in Assam, India. The wingspan is 20–22 mm.
The forewings are white with irregular pale yellowish shading along the leading edge. The basal third of the leading edge is ferruginous-yellow. There is a ferruginous dash just below the leading edge before the middle, and an elongate yellow patch in the middle of the wing. A reddish-brown patch runs from the base along the rear edge to near the tornus, covering about half the wing, and includes a triangular dark reddish-brown dorsal spot at about three-fourths, lightly edged with white.
Ferruginous-yellow shading continues along the posterior half of the leading edge, with a black mark beneath it near the apex. The wing veins have markings: veins 5 and 6 show reddish-brown lines that darken toward the back; vein 4 has a lighter line; between veins 5–7 there are two light ferruginous-brown streaks (sometimes partly yellowish); between veins 4 and 5 there is a yellowish streak; and near the tornus there is a deep yellow elongated patch. A fine blackish line runs along the outer edge (termen).
The hindwings are grey, with the apex sometimes pale whitish-yellowish.
