The 2018 Japanese Super Formula Championship was the 46th season of Japan’s top open‑wheel racing and the 6th under the Super Formula name. The season ran from April 22 to October 28 and featured seven races, finishing at Suzuka Circuit. It was the last season to use the Dallara SF14 chassis (first used in 2014); a new chassis will be introduced in 2019, but engine configurations remain the same. Honda-powered cars used the HR-414E engine, and Toyota-powered cars used the RI4A engine. Due to scheduling with the Japan WTCR round, the final Suzuka race was held as a single race instead of the originally planned double-header.
