Juan Fernández (footballer, born 1980)
Juan Ramón Fernández (born 5 March 1980) is a retired Argentine footballer who played as a right back. He started at Estudiantes de La Plata, making his first-team debut in the late 1990s, and earned one cap for Argentina in 1999 in a friendly match coached by Marcelo Bielsa. In 2002 he moved to Borussia Dortmund in Germany, where he played for the first team and briefly for Dortmund II. He later played for River Plate (on loan), San Lorenzo, Olimpo, Colón, and Argentinos Juniors in Argentina. After a short spell with Skoda Xanthi in Greece, he joined Atlético Rafaela (2010–2013). In 2013 he moved to Chile to play for Deportes Iquique, and later for Everton de Viña del Mar (Everton LP), finishing his career there.
