San Luis Potosí’s 3rd Federal Electoral District

- What it is: One of Mexico’s 300 federal electoral districts; it elects one deputy to the Chamber of Deputies for each three-year term. Votes from this district also help determine deputies from the proportional representation tier (the second region).

- Location: In the central region of San Luis Potosí. The district’s head town (cabecera distrital) is Rioverde.

- Coverage: 13 municipalities — Cerritos, Ciudad Fernández, Guadalcázar, Lagunillas, Rioverde, San Ciro de Acosta, San Nicolás Tolentino, Santa María del Río, Tierra Nueva, Villa de Arista, Villa de Reyes, Villa Hidalgo, and Villa Juárez. It uses 335 electoral precincts (secciones).

- Population: 357,788 (2020 census).

- Current representative: Óscar Bautista Villegas of the Ecologist Green Party of Mexico (PVEM), serving in the 66th Congress (2024–2027) after being elected in 2024.

- Districting plan: The 2023 INE plan defines this district for the 2024, 2027, and 2030 federal elections.
