2024 Sam Houston Bearkats football team
The 2024 Sam Houston Bearkats football team represented Sam Houston State University in Conference USA during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS season. The Bearkats were led by head coach K. C. Keeler in his 11th season for the regular year, and they played their home games at Bowers Stadium in Huntsville, Texas.
They finished with a 10–3 overall record and 6–2 in Conference USA. The Bearkats became bowl eligible on October 22 after a 10–7 road win at FIU, in just their second year in the FBS. After the regular season, Keeler accepted the head coaching job at Temple, and offensive coordinator Brad Cornelsen served as interim head coach for the New Orleans Bowl. Sam Houston defeated Georgia Southern 31–26 in the New Orleans Bowl to win the championship.
Brad Cornelsen was the offensive coordinator (his 2nd season). Skyler Cassity was the defensive coordinator in his first season, running a 3–4 base defense.
In the preseason, the Bearkats were predicted to finish tied for fifth in Conference USA.
