The 2020 Chinese Professional Baseball League season was the 31st CPBL season in Taiwan. It ran from April 12 to November 8, 2020, with two halves of 60 games each. Four teams competed in the CPBL: Rakuten Monkeys, Uni-President Lions, Fubon Guardians, and CTBC Brothers. Wei Chuan Dragons were reactivated as a minor league affiliate and did not play in the regular CPBL season.

Covid-19 disruptions shortened and reshaped the schedule. Opening day was delayed from March to April, games were played behind closed doors at first, and attendance gradually increased (up to 1,000 fans in May, with further relaxations in June). The All-Star Game was canceled. The league also drew international attention through English broadcasts and online coverage.

Two halves determined the playoffs: CTBC Brothers won the first half, and Uni-President Lions won the second half. Because different teams won each half, the Taiwan Series was played as a best-of-seven between the half-season champions. The Brothers hosted games 1, 2, 6, and 7, while the Lions hosted games 3, 4, and 5.

A notable moment came when Uni-President Lions pitcher Brock Dykxhoorn threw a complete-game shutout in a key game, helping the Lions stay alive in the series. The Taiwan Series concluded with Uni-President Lions defeating the CTBC Brothers 4–3 to win the championship.
