In the 2016 ITF Women's Circuit – Wuhan singles event, Wang Qiang won the title, beating Luksika Kumkhum 7–5, 6–2 in the final. The defending champion, Zhang Yuxuan, was eliminated in the first round by Shuko Aoyama.
