Vladimir Screciu
Vladimir Ionuț Screciu (born 13 January 2000) is a Romanian footballer who plays for Universitatea Craiova in Liga I as a defensive midfielder or centre-back, wearing number 6. He was born in Corabia, Olt County, and started his youth career with CSȘ Corabia before joining Craiova’s youth teams. Screciu made his Liga I debut for Universitatea Craiova on 2 October 2016 at age 16. In 2018 he moved to Genk in Belgium for about €2 million, and in 2020 had a loan spell at Lommel after dealing with injuries. He returned to Universitatea Craiova in 2021, where he has since been a regular. Internationally, he has represented Romania at youth levels (U16, U17, U19, U21) and made his senior debut in 2023; he has 6 caps for Romania as of November 2025. Known for his versatility, Screciu can play in midfield or as a central defender.
