Zenjiro Kaneko (金子 善次郎), born September 24, 1943, in Kawanishi, Yamagata, Japan, is a Japanese politician from the Liberal Democratic Party. A Hitotsubashi University graduate, he worked for the Ministry of Home Affairs before entering politics. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2000 as a member of the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ). In 2002 he joined the New Conservative Party, and in 2003 he lost his seat. He returned to Parliament in 2005 as an LDP member, representing the Northern Kanto proportional representation district, and served until 2009.
