Academic grading in Belarus
Belarus uses a 10-point grading scale for all education levels (primary, secondary and higher education) since 2002. Grades run from 1 (worst) to 10 (best). In schools, grades 1–2 are failing. In higher education, a grade of 3 or below is failing. A grade of 0 is used when a student refuses to do an assignment or to take an exam. Some subjects may use a pass/fail (pass/no pass) mark instead of a traditional grade, for example in art in secondary school.
