2013 Naga, Camarines Sur, local elections

Local elections were held in Naga City, Camarines Sur, on May 13, 2013, as part of the Philippine general elections. Voters chose a mayor, vice mayor, and ten councilors.

Mayor: Incumbent John Bongat of the Liberal Party won re-election in a landslide with 39,423 votes (81.58%), ahead of Jun Pelagio (Independent) who received 7,277 votes (15.06%).

Vice Mayor: Nelson Legacion (Liberal) won against Sulpicio Roco Jr. (NPC), 26,471 votes (54.40%) to 22,184 votes (45.60%).

Bongat remained mayor and Legacion became vice mayor. The Liberal Party dominated the city’s local elections, winning the mayoralty, the vice mayoralty, and a majority of the ten council seats.

Naga City is known as a Robredo–Liberal stronghold. In 2013, Leni Robredo was elected to the House of Representatives for Camarines Sur’s 3rd District, further strengthening the family’s influence in the area.

City council elections are held at-large for ten seats.
