Power to the People is a 1969 jazz studio album by saxophonist Joe Henderson, released on Milestone. It was recorded at Plaza Sound Studios in New York City on May 23 and May 29, 1969, and runs 42:27. The album features Henderson with trumpeter Mike Lawrence on two tracks, pianist Herbie Hancock, bassist Ron Carter and drummer Jack DeJohnette. Hancock plays electric piano and Carter plays bass guitar on some tracks—the first electric instruments to appear on a Henderson recording. All compositions are by Joe Henderson. The producer was Orrin Keepnews. In Henderson’s discography, Power to the People sits after Tetragon (1968) and before If You’re Not Part of the Solution, You’re Part of the Problem (1970).
