The 2007 FIBA Asia Championship for Men was the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. It took place in Tokushima, Japan, from July 28 to August 5, 2007, with 16 teams competing in two venues in one city. Because China was guaranteed an Olympic spot as host, the tournament also decided which teams would advance to Olympic qualifying events. China fielded a second team in this event to continue preparations elsewhere.

Iran won their first FIBA Asia Championship title, beating Lebanon 74–69 in the final. South Korea finished third after defeating Kazakhstan. Iran’s victory secured them an Olympic berth, while the other top teams earned spots in the 2008 World Olympic Qualifying Tournament. Saudi Arabia withdrew from the tournament and Kuwait replaced them. The draw for the event was held on June 6 in Tokushima, with teams arranged in four pots to form the groups.

Final standings:
- Champions: Iran
- Runners-up: Lebanon
- Third place: South Korea
- Fourth place: Kazakhstan

Individual honors:
- MVP: Hamed Haddadi
- Top scorer: Michael Madanly (33.1 points per game)
