Stara Gadka
Stara Gadka is a village in central Poland. It is part of Gmina Rzgów in Łódź East County, Łódź Voivodeship. The village sits about 3 km north of Rzgów and 12 km south of Łódź, along the Ner River. Historically, it was a private church village owned by the Kraków Cathedral Chapter in the Greater Poland Province.
During World War II, after Poland was invaded in 1939, Germany occupied Stara Gadka until 1945. In July 1940, Polish residents were expelled to a transit camp in Łódź and then sent to the Lublin District in eastern occupied Poland, while their houses were given to German settlers under the Lebensraum policy.
The area has a humid continental climate, with warm summers and cold winters.
