Life is a pop-soul song by British singer Des'ree from her 1998 album Supernatural. It was released as the third single on June 2, 1998, and became Des'ree’s biggest hit, reaching number one in Austria, Hungary, Italy, and the Netherlands, and also topping the UK R&B Singles Chart.

The song has a bright, upbeat feel and talks about superstitions, fears, and traveling around the world. Some listeners found the lyrics silly, and a 2007 BBC poll even named it the worst ever pop lyric, especially the verse about not wanting to see a ghost and preferring toast while watching the news.

Critics noted depth in Des'ree’s performance. A review of the album Supernatural described how she expresses inner strength and insecurities with a playful tone.

A music video for Life, directed by Mike Lipscombe, shows Des'ree in a black 1965 Oldsmobile with a chauffeur. An umbrella shields her from the sun, which then flies away as the car passes sugar cane fields and a crop duster releases butterflies.
